Santa Bárbara do Tugúrio is a municipality with just over five thousand inhabitants. We areclose to destinationstourist attractions such as Tiradentes and São João Del Rei, centers of commerce and services such as Juiz de Fora, furniture centers such as Ubá, close to Barbacena and "right there in Belo Horizonte". What the city offers that is different from these other locations is its vast natural heritage with waterfalls, trails and lookouts. By the way, Santa Bárbara do Tugúrio has so many waterfalls that it bears the title of "Campo das Vertentes waterfalls capital". There are so many waterfalls that even those who think they've seen them all are surprised to learn when someone breaks the news that another one has been "discovered". There are currently more than 50 known waterfalls in the municipality.

RAMALHO WATERFALL
One of the largest waterfalls in the region is also the largest and most famous waterfall in the city. Easily accessible by dirt road, it is one of our guests' favorite places to photograph.
CIRCUIT STAIRS OF PENANCE
It is formed by the Penitência Trail, by the Escadinha da Penitência Viewpoint with its famous giant seesaw with an infinity edge and two waterfalls: Cachoeira da Escadinha da Penitência a and Cachoeira da Panela
TWO FALLS CIRCUIT
It consists of a short 1.5km trail that crosses the Riacho dos Moreiras and leads to the waterfalls.

VALLEY DO SUMIDOURO CIRCUIT
It is a region of Santa Bárbara do Tugúrio composed of trails, viewpoints and seven waterfalls that extend along the Riacho do Sumidouro (Riacho do Galego).
Sumidouro Waterfall
It is the largest and main of the seven waterfalls in the Circuito do Vale do Sumidouro and one of the largest in Santa Bárbara do Tugúrio. know more
