PANELA WATERFALL
Cachoeira da Panela is a waterfall in the rural area of Santa Bárbara do Tugúrio whose main feature is the beautiful stream where it is located and the submerged crater (moat) more than 10 meters deep.
The origin of the name of the waterfall is in its format that, seen from above by the boiadeiros (ox handlers), resembled "a pot". The waterfall was a location reference when the cowboys said: "let's use the pot path referring to the waterfall".
There are two trails that lead to the waterfall. A path along the top where it is possible to see the mountains of the city of Santa Bárbara and another trail that borders the creek until you reach the waterfall. The two paths are very beautiful but require different physical preparation. Many guests at the Pousada choose to take the upper path on the way out and return by the lower path on the way back.
