Cachoeira da Tutu - Tuelita em Santa Bárbara do Tugúrio em Minas Gerais a partir da Pousada & Parada Olhos D'Água

Cachoeira da Tutu is a waterfall that makes part of the Sumidouro Valley Circuit in Santa Bárbara do Tugúrio in Minas Gerais. It is a waterfall that impresses by the irregular fall of the waters by its stone walls surrounded by a large forest.

The name of the waterfall, despite referring to the famous dish of Minas Gerais food - tutu - has nothing to do with this culinary delicacy, but with the name Tuelita that  was invented by a citizen here in Santa Bárbara do Tugúrio. Today in Brazil there are   only three people with the name Tuelita. The first one here by Tugúrio and more two that received this name because of the preceding Tuelita from Minas Gerais.

Because currently there are more than 50 waterfalls documented in the limits of the municipality. Many  of these untouched natural beauties attract tourists from all over Brazil who like to explore remote natural beauties. There is a saying in Minas that says: "the more beautiful the waterfall, the harder it is to find it." The starting point for all this is Pousada & Parada Olhos D'Água.
