CURIOSITY
Where does the name Tião Flowers that appears on Google Maps and other location tools come from?
Everything in the "roça" has a story and this waterfall would be no different.
A group of French tourists who came to explore the waterfalls of Santa Bárbara do Tugúrio and stayed at the Pousada could not pronounce the word "flores". To identify the waterfall more easily, they used the English expression " flowers". It was this name that they took, this is the name that visitors bring when they ask about the waterfall at the Pousada reception and it was the name that Google and other geo tools locations such as MSN Mapas, OpenMapas, Here Maps, etc. have adopted it. So Tião Flores and Tião Flowers are the same waterfall.
